Alaska - Jeep Excursion / Miscellaneous Pictures - #4

Our tour guide Ashley was really a good sport; she let us ride with her so more people had a chance to drive the Jeeps. She told us all sorts of stories and gave us a lot of trivia questions about Alaska and really knew what she was talking about.

The weather turned really crappy towards the end and we weren't able to get a whole lot of actual off-roading shots, but we were able to find a lot of mud and really got to see how the little stock Jeeps handled being off-road in the middle of "no where".

We were fortunate to not have any injuries to personnel or hardware, however, if you look close enough, you will notice that there are no matching tires on the Jeeps and the spares were in short demand... I guess some of the previous groups were spending their time swapping out tires and fixing other trail mishaps while we got more time having fun in the mud. All in all, it was a blast.

It got a little chilly going through the pass...

Back to the photos...

This river was actually green, hard to see here.

All the Jeeps stopping at the bathroom.

Stopping at the waterfall.

The two of us in the falls

Getting back to Skagway and Jen spotting some fishes.

I spotted a Jeep we should have taken instead of the 4-banger

Look closely, 2 salmon heading up stream for some action.
