Jeep Acronyms

SOA Spring Over Axle
This is a process used to gain lift on leaf sprung vehicles (i.e., Jeep CJs and YJs) that are manufactured with leaf springs mounted below the axle. By moving the leaf springs to the topside of the axle, the vehicle typically gains 4"-6" of vehicle suspension lift. This allows for larger offroad tires to be mounted without contacting the vehicle's body.
SUA Spring Under Axle
This is how Jeeps(CJs/YJs) are manufactured. The leaf springs are mounted below the axle.
CJ Civilian Jeep

D20 Dana 20

D30 Dana 20

NOTE:
The list will continue to grow, it was just an idea and now I see that there are a LOT of acronyms we use on a daily basis.
