So, it has been about 6 days since the new arrival to the family and a few more pictures have surfaced since we started doing this. We had 2 different cameras when we started out on the journey to get this and the other camera didn't get downloaded until last night.

Some of the parts that weren't going to be used have been sold off and now we are moving to taking the rest of the Jeep apart. Now let's talk about TORX bolts. Who thought these things up? I mean really. If I wanted to experience pain, I would go have my old gall bladder put back in and suffer through it. These are a pain the ass to remove, and you have to make sure that you have the bit all the way in. Well, enough of my complaining. I stripped a few of them and I can't get some of the other ones out, so I have to deal with those another day.

More has been taken off the Jeep lately and more will occur this weekend. I have found one spot of rust that will have to be addressed. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. The body was in such good shape and then when trying to remove the drivers side seat belt, I saw under a little piece of carpet a new problem area.

As you can see from the pictures, we brought the Jeep home with the truck. What you can't see is the whole bed of the truck and the back seat were filled with Jeep parts. Also, in the tub of the Jeep, the tire carrier as well as the new fender were sitting in there. All in all, it has been a great haul. Now I just have to remove more of the parts and sell them to get money to start the YJ tub conversion to a CJ style tub and then continue on with the buildup.

The build-up continues... I got a bunch more stuff off the Jeep and is up for sale and I have advertised in the forums to try to sell it to get this project moving. All in all, I have removed almost everything from the tub so I can clean it up and get some Herculiner in it. After that is done, I will have the body work done and paint it all one color. The roll bar will then be powder coated and then the Jeep will be put back together. It is moving along nicely in these past couple of weeks. More parts are going to be put up for sale and I will be on the look out for some parts. The LED lights for the rear have already been ordered and that will be up soon on the build-up. I am trying to get the majority of this done before the next few weeks so I don't take up too much room in the garage.
